NATTSVERMERE

by
Mamelukk & Naaljos Ljom

In Nattsvermere, Naaljos Ljom and Mamelukk come together - two creative forces who, each in their own way, celebrate folk music, the body, and rhythm with a blend of reverence and anarchy. Together with the audience, they embark on a journey into the borderland between performance, concert, club, and free dance, opening the doors to a musical and physical universe where anything can happen.

Naaljos Ljom, the duo from Rogaland, draws inspiration from folk tunes, dance rhythms, and archival recordings from across the country. With fiddle, synths, drums, and a heavy beat, they take traditional music to new heights.

Led by Silje Onstad Hålien - artistic director and choreographer - Mamelukk approaches music as a living image, a physical response to the ecstasy of the performance, in a space where sound and movement merge, and where the audience is drawn in with their ears, eyes, and entire bodies.
